My name is Val and I live in Lincolnshire, England. Greyhounds have been in my life since 2004 and now I design and knit Greyhound coats, hats and other related items.

Greyhounds4me knitting patterns are available on ebay and Etsy, depending on whether you prefer a printed paper pattern or an instant download.

The patterns are used by many fundraisers who support Greyhound Rehoming Charities.

Rehoming Charities

Thousands of Greyhounds retire from racing each year and need to find loving, forever homes.  In order to help support their fantastic work, we give regular donations to
Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust and The Retired Greyhound Trust

 Fundraising
We support many Greyhound charities in their fundraising. Danny the READ Greyhound (pictured with his knitted double) visits schools to hear children read and improve their literacy skills.  Sadly, Danny passed away in  November 2020

Famous Liver Cake Recipe

200g Self raising flour
200g Wholemeal flour
2 eggs
200g Lambs liver – you can use Pigs liver
2 cloves garlic (or a sprinkle of garlic powder)
1 carrot

Enough milk and water to mix to a batter – maybe half a pint.

Mix together the flour, eggs, milk and water, adding the liquid a bit at a time until it is a batter of medium consistency.
Add the chopped garlic, grated carrot and chopped liver and mix well.
Pour mixture into a greased dish – mine is an oblong pyrex dish about 10 inches by 8 inches by 2 inches deep.
Bake at 180 degrees C, 350 degrees F or gas mark 4 for 30 minutes.
Leave to cool – in a high place! then cut into small squares.
This amount of mixture makes 4 good bagfuls and it freezes well so you don’t have to use it all at once.

A downloadable book, 277 pages of stories, poems, photos all sent in by greyhound owners and used to raise funds for greyhound rehoming charities.
Now you can download your copy absolutely free HERE.

Please take the time to read about the great works that the charities do for retired greyhounds and maybe you can help support one near you.

The cover model is Nigel from Life With Dogs who sadly passed away towards the end of 2014.  One of the chapters in the book is all about Nigel and his adventures. A true ambassador for Greyhounds everywhere.
